Entrees: Barbequed Leg of Lamb with Zesty Lemon Barbeque Sauce

3 pound rolled leg of lamb
the cloves of a medium head of garlic

The leg of lamb is best prepared on a rotissarie, but can be grilled slowly. Make slits in the meat prior to cooking and insert peeled garlic cloves into meat. Cook over medium-high heat for 1 - 1 1/4 on rotissari or medium heat on grill to medium rare. Baste with BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Let stand 15-20 minutes before carving. Slice or cut meat into large cubes and serve with remaining sauce.

Ingredients Lemon BBQ sauce
½ cup (1 med.) chopped onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
¼ cup cooking oil
1cup catsup
½ cup water
¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp prepared mustard
1 teaspoon salt
¼ tsp ground thyme
1 lemon, thinly sliced
dash Tabasco sauce

Sauté onion and garlic in oil in saucepan until tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Store, covered, in refrigerator after using.
